About Me…

Growing up, I was exposed to a very large and tight family with one common denominator: PASSION FOR FOOD. My family’s main bonding activity is travelling worldwide to experiencing different cuisines.  Sight-seeing, shopping, and other activities will depend on where we intend to have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

At an early age, I was blessed to have been exposed to numerous cuisines and variations which developed my palette and allowed me to decipher good food from mediocre. It was very flattering to hear family and friends say that I am “gourmet” hence the inspiration for naming this website MrGourmetPH.

Purpose of This Blog…

I am writing this blog to help family members and friends maximize their culinary experiences when travelling. For several years now, friends and family have consulted me on what to eat in a specific city.  You don’t have to call me anymore.  This blog contains all the answers.

I also want to share with fellow foodies and travelers all the awesome and mouth-watering dishes I have tried abroad so that they can maximize their travel experience.

Focus of this Blog…

This blog will focus on dishes to be order per city. I would rather put my focus on dishes than on restaurants…why? Because restaurants come and go while trademark dishes stay the same for years.  Besides there is Google, and one can always type “best (name of dish) in (name of city.”

However, this does not say I will not write about restaurants in the future. My focus for now though is highlighting the best dishes to try per city.

Limitations of this Blog…

I am not a good writer. In fact, English and writing are not my strong suits.  Hence, I focus more on bullet points and pictures and excel files to point you to the dishes and restaurants that will give you the best culinary experience in a city.

As of now, I would like to go by the name MrGourmet. I am writing this blog mainly to guide family, friends, and fellow foodies to the best dishes and restaurants when they go abroad.

What to expect to this Blog in the future…

I expect to include places in Metro Manila that locals or foreigners can lease-out which would put them at the center of a main food hub.  As of now, I have included NY Suites which is near the Foodie Road P. Noval in Manila.  This is a new concept and expect more places to be added in the future!
