Elberts Steakroom

The USDA Prime Ribeye, medium rare. All the steaks at Elberts are wet-aged and the Prime Ribeyes come cut one inch thick.

Succulent and juicy, only seasoned with pepper, grapeseed oil, and sicilian sea salt, you can really taste the natural flavor of the USDA prime grade beef imported from Wisconsin in the United States. The steak has minimal to no banding do to the 430*celsius grill they are perfected on.

Duck Fat Potato Wedges- A perfect fry, but with the duck fat, it is beyond perfect.

Walking into Elberts really takes work, climbing three stories to reach this hidden gem in Makati. You can smell the steak when you walk in and it is mouthwatering. The soft lighting and the small amount of space makes this feel like a private experience, reminiscent of a Mortons in New York.

At mamou there is nothing better than the Dry Aged USDA Prime Grade Bone-in Ribeye Steak. A perfectly salty and exquisitely juicy steak. Cooked in a cast iron skillet to create a perfect sear, and cut an inch and a half thick, then finished off in an oven until medium or medium rare. One of the best restaurants in Makati.

U.S Prime Rib-eye (500-1000g) and the Tomahawk steak are both amazing choices. The crisp salty bit on the outside and moving into one of the juiciest steaks ever to have been. This Makati restaurant has earned it’s spot in the top ten.

Jalapeno Poppers- Jalapenos filled with cheeses and fried till golden brown.

Baked Portobello Mushroom- Stuffed full of truffle cheese and foie gras

Wild Mushroom Foie Gras Dumplings- served in small spoons, these bite-sized dumplings are filled with foie gras and mushroom paste.

Oyster- baked oysters in spoons topped with foie gras.

Recommended Entree-

The Ribeye Steak here has great marbling and is a staggering 800 – 1200 grams. They use light seasoning and a nice crust to enhance the flavors of the meat. It comes with garlic cloves on top, bordelaise sauce, and skin-on potatoes that are absolutely delicious.

 

Recommended Complementary Dishes-

Butternut Squash Soup- Filled with goat cheese tortellini, bacon, and hazelnut crumble.

Foie Gras Salad- Fresh greens with onions and a generous helping of foie gras on top, over peanut puree.

Clam Linguine- A classic white clam sauce and clams over linguine.

Seared Scallops- Seared scallops, lime creme fraiche and a caramelized tomato tart. The tart takes it out of this world.

 

Recommended Desserts-

Toffee Pudding Cake-Poached apples, toffee, and caramel glaze over a perfect pudding cake is definitely one of the best ways to end.

Chocolate Marquise- little berries and almond tuile makes the little chocolates look very modern. They are small but pack the perfect amount of dark chocolate flavor.

Very small, but a very satisfying restaurant in Makati. To get a reservation it requires a little advance, but it is well worth it. The large chalkboard helps with the modern feeling the restaurant gives off, and the food holds to.

The 12 oz “beef chilled” Ribeye is no joke. It’s imported from the United States for the best beef. The crust, seasoning, and cooked to perfection make this all one of the best steaks and a great Makati Restaurant.

Sauteed Mushrooms, Baked Potato, Mashed Potatoes are all amazing choices.

Lobster Bisque- A flavorful lobster treat served in the perfect portion.

I’m Angus Dessert Sampler- Three cute modern desserts that pack a lot of flavor. They have a more options you can pick than just the mascarpone mousse with strawberry filling, the pannacotta with mango jelly layers and raspberry foam, and the last is maracaibo chocolate mousse with caramelized black cherries. They all leave you wanting more.

Calamansi Orange Sherbet- A really refreshing end to a meal, the orange flavor is wonderful.

The lighting of the restaurant really sets a romantic and saultry mood. The white tablecloths and exposed brick walls really brings character to the restaurant as well. Cozy and lots of natural light in the day time make it a great lunch spot.

A Creekstone Farms Prime Bone-in Ribeye- a full 600 grams. Seared at 1,300 degrees celsius to intensify the flavor and juices. Cooked leaving just the right amount of fat and to a perfect medium.

Myron’s Cut cooked to medium. Topped with pan-seared foie gras and only seasoned with pink himalayan salt and very juicy.

The ambiance is very laid-back and industrial modern. The lighting is perfect, and the room is decorated with steak themed everything, even cow couches. The wood style tables and brown leather chairs even out the weird of the cow heads watching overhead.
